Job description

A well-known company that has developed an app for people to not just date but make friends and network is looking for an iOS Mobile Developer. The developer will be responsible for updating existing features of the apps and building brand new features from scratch for new apps. The NASDAQ-listed company is on a mission to make the world a healthier and more equal place for all interactions. This will be a full-time role with the possibility of a long-term engagement. It requires at least 6 hours overlap with the British Summer Time.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product specs, create implementations, develop code, and deliver iOS app feature designs quickly
  • Consider performance metrics for drawing conclusions and driving change
  • Contribute technical thoughts and suggestions to improve the product's direction
  • Taking charge of the project and making process-related decisions
  • Mentoring and advising junior team members
  • Create code and tests that are efficient, maintainable, and reusable
  • Build systems must be maintained, and unit tests must be written
  • Be an effective and responsible team member by communicating, participating, and assisting
  • Participate in a weekly release cycle with QA
  • Attend daily stand-ups, plan and showcase your projects, and be enthusiastic about collaborating in an agile atmosphere

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Knowledge of iOS
  • Experience in leading the process and driving product-related decisions to date with the latest Swift and iOS trends
  • Knowledge of UIKit, Core Animation, GCD & Networking 
  • Excellent understanding of design patterns & Object Oriented Programming
  • Understanding of analytics, remote reporting, and measurements
  • Knowledge of working with Continuous Integration (CI) and Unit Testing on iOS
  • Familiarity with socket-based networking is desirable
  • Experience performance profiling with instruments in Xcode
  • Self-motivated and capable of meeting deadlines and working alone
  • Excellent English communication and teamwork abilities
  • A positive and rational attitude, as well as a desire to learn
  • Attention to detail and a love for quality
