Job description

A global OTT platform that is revolutionizing the industry with their game-changing technology is looking for an iOS Lead Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for implementing various features and improving the application's stability. The company is fast becoming the industry leader and providing services in over 15 languages while covering every major global sporting event. They have managed to raise $220mn+ in funding so far. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement features for the company’s iOS application
  • Provide technical and product expertise, mentor and guide developers
  • Define the future architecture of the platform
  • Improve, rethink, and redesign the mobile app to offer a high-performing system with a fun user interface
  • Develop efficient and flexible programming while delivering important business elements
  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end product quality, from the development to maintenance of fundamental app foundations 
  • Be a part of the team that develops prototypes for new ideas and experiments with cutting-edge mobile technology

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as an iOS Lead engineer
  • Extensive experience with iOS development, including technologies like UIKit, Core Animation, Auto Layout, and Cocoa Touch
  • Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding ability 
  • Strong CS and OS fundamentals
  • Prior experience working on iOS apps with scale in the hundreds of thousands to millions
  • Ability to deconstruct difficult challenges into simple, inventive solutions that meet commercial requirements
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in ambiguous situations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, a knack for action, and the ability to operate autonomously are all desirable qualities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
