Job description

A U.S.-based company that has managed to build a world-class recreational platform is looking for an iOS Engineer. The selected candidate will play a key role in fostering and scaling the platform. The company’s cutting-edge technology has helped the platform garner a global user base by enabling users to connect with like-minded people and build lasting communities. The company has successfully raised $1.2 bn+ during their Series F round of funding. This role requires a significant overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to execute product and business strategy and build novel products
  • Contribute to the full software development cycle, including technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Conduct code reviews and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks
  • Lead a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers
  • Set and define standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help coach and mentor engineers on the team 
  • Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience in Swift
  • Nice to have experience in Objective C
  • Prolific experience in UI development 
  • At least 5+ years of experience developing user-facing iOS applications at scale
  • Proficiency with multithreading and performance optimization techniques for iOS
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GraphQL, REST, and HTTP
  • Ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule
  • Proficient English communication skills 
  • Ability to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
