Job description

An NYSE-listed e-commerce company that has managed to build one of the largest online shopping platforms in the world is looking for an iOS Engineer. The engineer will be expected to take initiative and actively ensure that the software products meet industry standards. The company is transforming the lives of customers by offering them access to high-quality goods with a wide range of options to select from at an affordable rate. The company has managed to successfully secure $1.4 bn+ in funding so far.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of significant parts of the user onboarding, including user authentication, onboarding, logging out, and the new user experiences
  • Build new high-impact features in the company’s iOS app
  • Own the feature from scratch to post-release
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and data teams to design and drive the direction of a feature
  • Give valuable feedback, review experiment findings, and sharing of new ideas
  • Collaborate with external partnerships to deliver software and technical solutions 
  • Make necessary coding architecture decisions and participate in code reviews regularly 
  • Refactor the code to use best practices, if necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in MVC and MVVM
  • Prolific experience in Git
  • Prior experience in iOS development and iOS-Swift
  • Nice to have experience in Python
  • Experience in MongoDB is preferred 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
