Job description

A rapidly-growing company building an online content sharing and community-building platform is looking for an iOS Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for formulating guidelines for enhancing developer workflows and promoting best practices. The company connects more than 400 million people and gives them the tools they need to establish and maintain vibrant, active communities. This role requires an overlap of 4-5 hours with the US timezone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • To accomplish technical and business goals and develop user-friendly experiences, collaborate across departments and teams
  • Create components and systems that provide people with rapid, seamless experiences worldwide
  • Participate in the planning, design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch phases of technical projects.
  • Review code and design specs, and offer feedback on product mockups and specifications.
  • Manage a team of witty, quick, and passionate engineers.
  • Create requirements that improve development processes, specify them, and offer best practices.
  • Help the engineers on the team progress their careers by coaching and mentoring them.
  • Continue to learn and improve your non-technical and technical skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a mobile engineer
  • Expertise in Swift and Objective-C
  • Proficiency with multithreading and performance optimization techniques for IOS
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule
  • Knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus
  • Self-directed, innovative, and biased towards action in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English communication skills
