Job description

A US-based company attempting to take over the financial industry by allowing customers to round up purchases and automatically invest the spare change is looking for an iOS Engineer. The engineer will be providing guidance on best practices for iOS application development; assist with framework and tool selection decisions. The company is tapping into the power of technology to help customers save and invest economically. The company has managed to successfully raise $500mn+ in funding during their Series F round. This position requires at least 6 hours of overlap with the EST/PST time zones. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various teams such as back-end, QA, design, product, and others
  • Learn about the roadmap and all of the exciting new projects that will be launched soon
  • Learn about the codebase, products and increase your understanding of the team's major projects
  • Learn about and contribute to the iOS app's conventions and architecture
  • Collaborate closely with the product and design teams to contribute to app features
  • Take complete responsibility for at least one feature, from requirements to implementation, and identify areas for improvement
  • Create reusable and efficient iOS abstractions
  • Optimize the application for maximum performance and scalability
  • Be optimistic about the potential for societal change

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a mobile app developer
  • 3+ years of experience with iOS is a must
  • Knowledge of Swift is required
  • Experience building high-performance, dynamic UI programmatically using auto layout strategies is a must
  • Experience implementing third-party SDKs on iOS (Social Media, Marketing/Crash Analytics, etc.) is required
  • Must have a solid understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) application design and development, Cocoa Touch design patterns, algorithm design
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment with a version control system like Git is a must
  • Nice to have knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GraphQL
  • Passionate about having a high user impact and moving key metrics
  • Desire to deliver game-changing products with an exceptional drive and precision in delivery
