Job description

A global content sharing platform that is making its mark in the recreation industry with its relevant technology is looking for a Senior/Staff iOS Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for driving and executing the technical, product, operations, and architecture-related strategies. The company unites more than 450mn people over common interests and community-building content. They have managed to securely raise $1bn+ during their Series F round of funding. This role requires 4-5+ hours overlap with the US time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with various teams and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy 
  • Create unique items and features that users will appreciate
  • Participate in the entire development process: conception, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch of technical products
  • Review code and design documentation, as well as product specifications and mockups, and provide feedback
  • Lead a team of enthusiastic engineers and set high standards to optimize developer processes, promote best practices, and professional development 
  • Expand your technical and non-technical skills 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience working as an iOS engineer
  • 5+ years of experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale
  • Demonstrable experience working with Swift and Objective-C
  • Experience with multithreading and performance optimization techniques for iOS
  • Prior experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is nice to have
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Ability to communicate complicated issues to both technical and non-technical parties
