Job description

A well-established social content-sharing platform that caters to a global audience is looking for an iOS Engineer. The selected candidate should have some media experience and will be working closely with a diverse team to execute the company’s product roadmap. The company aims to provide a must-have tool for content creators and community builders in their daily lives. They have managed to raise more than $1bn during their Series F round of funding. This role requires 4-5+ hours overlap with the US time zone.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and other technical counterparts to implement product and business strategy and create unique goods and features that our users will appreciate
  • Participate throughout the whole development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Examine code and design documentation, as well as provide comments on product specs and mocks
  • Lead and mentor a team of smart, fast-moving, and motivated engineers
  • Efficiently collaborate with teams in a completely remote setting and debate complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Establish and create standards to optimize developer processes, promote best practices, and assist in coaching and mentoring team engineers to better their professional development
  • Learn and develop your technical and non-technical skills on a regular basis

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • At least 5 years of experience producing user-facing iOS mobile native applications on a large scale
  • Extensive experience working with Swift and Objective-C
  • Expertise with multithreading and IOS performance enhancement approaches
  • Additional knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP fundamentals, and the ability to create stable APIs is advantageous
  • Strong organizational abilities, the capacity to prioritize work, and the ability to keep projects on track
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to create new things and thrive in ambiguity, even failure
  • Outstanding communication abilities
