Job description

A global OTT platform actively providing over 300 million users with world-class entertainment services is looking for an iOS Engineer. The developer will be responsible for implementing various features and improving the stability of the application. The online video streaming platform is active in over 17 languages and has established itself as an industry leader in the market. This role requires some overlap with the IST time zone. The company has managed to secure fundings worth $225 mn so far and is heavily focused on delivering an unmatchable user delight. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define the future architecture of the platform and make product-driven decisions
  • Provide technical and product expertise
  • Improve, rework, and reimagine the mobile application to deliver a high-performance system and highly engaging UI
  • Deliver critical business modules while developing optimized & modular code
  • Take ownership of end-to-end product quality, from the development to maintenance of core app frameworks to provide a more reliable and delightful experience
  • Lead prototypes of new ideas and explore new technologies at the forefront of mobile technology
  • Mentor and guide developers on the team and establish standard engineering practices to be followed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-10 years of relevant experience as an iOS engineer
  • Expert-level knowledge of iOS development, including technologies like UIKit, Core Animation, Auto Layout, and Cocoa Touch
  • Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding ability 
  • Strong CS & OS fundamentals are needed
  • Ability to break down complex problems into simple, innovative solutions that serve business needs
  • A knack for problem-solving and an ability to work in ambiguity
