Job description

A New York-based, venture capital firm focusing on early-stage technology and consumer investments is looking for an iOS Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the mobile platform and will work on building it from scratch while collaborating with the backend engineer. The company specializes in product-centric fund investments for pre-seed and seed stage consumer tech companies. Candidates who want to join a fast-growing startup and contribute to innovative products are well suited for this role. It is a full-time opportunity that requires at least 4 hours overlap with EST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on building the mobile applications from scratch
  • Develop, test, and maintain native software development kit on multiple mobile platforms
  • Work closely with the backend engineer to develop and implement new features
  • Deliver clean, well-tested code and meet project deadlines
  • Continuously learn and grow as a software developer, keeping up to date with emerging technologies and trends 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Must be proficient with React Native 
  • Experience dealing with YouTube video players in a mobile app would be ideal
  • Familiarity with Typescript, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL
  • Strong background working with other native frameworks
  • An ability to take ownership of your work, with a focus on timelines and development quality
