Job description

A fast-growing company that is active in the fast delivery industry is looking for an iOS Developer. The selected candidate will be working with legacy apps built in PHP while also working with Scala and Kotlin to create new services. The company currently operates in over 100 cities across the South West US and plans to expand its business by delivering all types of goods and services within the local communities. They have managed to raise fundings worth more than $30 mn during their Series B round. This is a nice opportunity to gain some first-hand experience working in a high-growth startup.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to research and fact-finding to develop or modify applications
  • Fix bugs and perform updates to the code base while working closely with senior engineers
  • Work actively in planning and executing development projects
  • Integrate scalable solutions while partnering with multi-disciplinary technology teams 
  • Develop sound technical solutions without direct oversight
  • Thoroughly examine code and point out areas that may lead to bugs
  • Initiate regular updates to existing APIs by adding endpoints, changing responses, and handling errors
  • Identify and communicate potential issues early and significantly contributes to team discussions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Posses up to 4 - 8 years of software engineering experience
  • Prior experience or familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: Swift, XCUITest
  • Solid understanding of coding patterns together with their applications to write performant, testable code
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms to solve problems at scale
  • Expertise in writing tests that cover popular use cases and code paths
  • The ability to leverage design patterns to craft efficient, maintainable, and scalable features
  • Track record of developing architectural system solutions such as SOA, Event-driven, or n-tier
