Full-Stack Lead Engineer

One of the world's first platforms that allow content creators with financial expertise and traders to live-stream socially is looking to hire a Full-stack Lead Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling the entire full-stack development team. The platform offers content, community, and collaboration necessary to become an expert and has recently closed a $6.1 mn seed round led by some of the world's largest Venture capitalists and Angel investors. The candidate will contribute hands-on code, with emphasis on providing leadership and vision around the direction of the code base, toolsets, and architecture decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as an early hire and develop a social streaming platform for the new generation of investors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate with the Product, Operations, QA, and executive leadership
• Lead sprint estimation efforts and track development progress and quality
• Contribute efforts in building the team by identifying resource requirements, skill sets, sourcing candidates, and conducting technical interviews
• Develop metrics, KPIs, and team goals while ensuring an open/collaborative culture for the team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of experience in a customer success role
• Must have prior experience in React, Django, and AWS
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Python is nice to have
• Experience in leading teams (local and/or remote)
• Experience communicating with engineering and product teams
• Proficiency with Jira or other project management platforms
• Prior experience with early-stage startups, including social, video, chat, trading, and crypto platforms
• Familiarity with ticketing systems 
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, React Native, Typescript, Kubernetes, IaaS (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Track record of building, testing, deploying APIs, and integrating with multiple 3rd party APIs
• Familiarity with marketplace payments and real-time financial market data is nice to have
• Experience working with real-time messaging and monetization workflows (in-app currencies, subscription models, and payment processing) is preferred
