Job description

A US-based company developing an effective vocabulary curriculum that promotes word awareness is looking for a Full-Stack Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for writing codes and performing Unit testing quickly without losing software quality. Teachers can use the platform's innovative tools to help pupils improve their English vocabulary and study skills. This is an excellent opportunity for developers who are eager to use technology to solve big problems.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain complex user-facing features with React, Redux, and other frameworks
  • Create clean, reusable components while keeping performance and scalability in mind
  • Examine the technical viability of UX wireframes and UI designs
  • Using middleware, you can design state, define actions, and handle asynchronous requests
  • Guard against cheating and other potentially shady use actions
  • Effectively communicate with other team members and stakeholders
  • New ideas should be presented and championed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
  • Knowledge of ES6, React, Redux, JSX, Webpack, and Babel is required
  • Extensive knowledge of redux-actions, redux-promise, and redux-thunk
  • Experience in HTML5 and CSS3 
  • Understanding of Web Accessibility Requirements (WCAG Level AA)
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues is required
  • Knowledge of Git/Github workflows
  • Comprehensive knowledge of browser rendering behaviour and performance
  • Experience with testing using Jest & Enzyme is nice to have
  • Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, or RSpec is a plus
  • Familiarity with the webpacker Ruby gem is nice to have
  • Familiarity with D3 or other charting/visualization libraries is a bonus
  • Passion for education
  • Excellent communication skills
