Job description

A US-based non-profit organization dedicated to curing rare cancer with the help of strategic investments to help accelerate deployment of promising therapies, is looking for a Front-end Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building a local back-end server and owning the front-end development process using CI/CD and AWS. The company initiates innovative collaborations and leverages economies of scale to enable existing foundations to share solutions and catalyze effective research needed to help cure rare cancer. This is a nice opportunity for a developer to contribute to a relevant cause while sharpening your skills.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Start a local back-end server for development work
  • Own the front-end development pipeline from coding to deployment
  • Write, develop and configure Webpack build processes
  • Build scalable, clean, responsive, and well-documented stacks
  • Research, design and build highly reliable, and scalable platforms

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant front-end development experience
  • Ability to make semi-trivial updates and additions to legacy AngularJS 1.X code
  • Skilled with CI/CD pipelines and AWS
  • Must have a core understanding of modern JavaScript and ECMAScript specifications
  • Must have a deep knowledge of React and Redux, including unit testing methods
  • Capable of translating AngularJS 1.X code into React components and pages
  • Prior experience working with Material Design and integrating with Salesforce is nice to have
  • Prior experience consuming Django API endpoints and working in the Django Admin panel is preferred
  • Nice to have previous work with web applications which handle patient healthcare information (PHI, HIPAA)
  • Familiarity with biomedical protocol and consent processes is preferred
