Job description

An early-stage start-up simplifying B2B payments and enabling small businesses to manage payments remotely is looking for a Frontend Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for building and scaling the payments platform while taking pride in high coding standards and modern development practices. The company has raised over $3 mn in funding and experienced month-to-month revenue growth. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to grow rapidly while working with an emerging start-up funded by top VC investors, experienced entrepreneurs, and a team of professionals. The role requires an 8-hour overlap with PST.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and scale the payments platform
  • Leverage modern development practices in building scalable applications
  • Implement and maintain high coding and development standards with a focus on efficiency 
  • Deliver value to the customers while bringing unique ideas and perspective
  • Communicate clearly and concisely about complex technical, architectural, and organizational problems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Must be proficient in frontend development using Javascript, Typescript, React framework
  • Experience with Heroku and Ruby on Rails
  • Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture
  • Independent, fast learner, and excited about learning new technologies
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with great organizational skills
  • Experience working on payments or risk systems is a plus
  • Multilingual with an ability to speak Spanish is preferred
  • Sound communication and problem-solving skills
