Job description

An all-in-one cloud-based shipping platform is looking for a Frontend Developer (React.js). The engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing a highly responsive user interface component using React concepts including the front-end architecture to support the user interface concepts. The platform is trusted by thousands of happy e-commerce merchants and integrates well with shipping carriers and multiple selling channels to streamline the process for online retailers. Job Responsibilities:

  • Regularly meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications
  • Review application requirements and interface designs
  • Identify web-based user interactions
  • Develop and implement highly responsive user interface components using React concepts 
  • Write application interface codes using JavaScript following React.js workflows
  • Deliver quick prototypes and work in a "fail-fast" environment 
  • Troubleshoot the interface software and debug application codes
  • Develop and implement the front-end architecture to support user interface concepts
  • Monitor and improve the front-end performance
  • Document application changes and development updates

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years development experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Strong grasp of ES6/ES7 JavaScript or TypeScript 
  • Sound understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) 
  • Proficiency with source control (Git) and build workflows and other collaboration tools
  • Must have high attention to detail with the ability to perform pixel-perfect page construction that performs well across browsers in responsive implementations
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  • Solid knowledge of the development and maintenance of responsive and accessible websites using the latest W3C web standards
  • Strong QA skills and the ability to review work and thoroughly tested code
