Job description

An innovative start up in the meal kit delivery space, backed by top tier investors and led by one of San Francisco's top chefs is looking to hire a Senior Frontend Engineer. The role of the engineer includes working with a cross-functional team to build solutions to complex business and operational challenges. The company grew its sales by 1300% in 2016 and has 1200 employees from across the globe. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to join a team with an excellent track record of solving challenging problems. It is a full-time role that requires a minimum of 6 hours daily overlap with EST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with a cross-functional team to build solutions to complex business and operational challenges
  • Work alongside product managers and designers to implement, test, and maintain user-facing software software components for the website
  • Use industry-standard best practices to make the user experience amazing
  • Find the perfect balance between high quality code and getting a product shipped
  • Work with the designers for web UIs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant front-end development experience with React.js
  • Hands-on experience working with React, along with tools like Git (GitHub), Webpack, Yarn/Bower
  • High degree of competence with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS (SASS and/or Less), and JavaScript
  • Experience working with a fully remote, geo-distributed team
  • Passionate for building clear and maintainable applications
  • Hands-on experience with PHP (WordPress) and React Native (mobile development) is desirable
