Job description

A US-based education-focused platform that hosts virtual and hybrid events for students, is looking for a Front-end Developer. The developer will be responsible for influencing the technology to help with the company’s core product and deliver innovative solutions to complex problems. The company's network provides students with the means to easily connect with colleges and universities of their choice. The company has managed to secure $2 mn+ in funding so far. This is a full-time role that requires at least 4+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a full-fledged contributor within the cross-functional teams 
  • Turn ideas into designs into code them into value
  • Guide the work of other less experienced developers 
  • Give clear guidelines and tasks to other members of the team, reviewing code output, and sharing knowledge
  • Engage in the iteration and agile approaches to software development

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
  • Solid knowledge of Ember.js, AWS, MySQL, and Twilio
  • Must be a team player with a positive and committed attitude
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment
  • Strong written and oral English communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to self-manage and multitask on multiple projects
