Job description

A US-based furniture rental platform focused on transforming urban living is looking for a Frontend Developer. The developer will be responsible for building the platform for renting and buying furniture in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. The company is dedicated to simplifying the home furnishing experience and has closed $9+ mn in seed funding from top investors. The candidate will work alongside other engineers within the team to focus on the user-facing web app and internal tooling. This is an exciting opportunity for a developer looking to work in a startup environment, within a small team that’s growing and fast-hailing from Uber, Google, Rent-the-Runway, etc., and other industry veterans.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on our core web app to build the e-commerce platform, recommendation system and create furniture visualizations
  • Work on our internal web app, expressing the products in detail and executing the platform as a business
  • Use third-party integrations for internal tooling, payments, data collection, and other efforts
  • Leverage available technology to make sophisticated internal tools for order and inventory management
  • Implement connections with Stripe, Onfleet, and various analytics tools
  • Engage with everyone in the company on brainstorming, prioritizing, and developing a strategy around marketing, operations, support, and other requirements 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-7 years of experience with the ability to take ownership of features
  • Frontend-specific or full-stack experience with at least Vue.js, React, or Angular 
  • Knowledge of the architectural working principle
  • Capable of participating in discussions of stability and efficiency
  • Familiarity with developing products for flexibility and future experimentation 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Track record of open-source frontend contributions is nice to have
  • Proficiency with Ruby, Node, and Python is a plus
  • Solid domain experience in e-commerce, modular apps (e.g CMS, CRM), or 3D are nice to have
