Job description

A leading NYSC-listed data platform is looking to hire a Front-End Software Engineer. The engineer will collaborate with team members to understand the information architecture and develop strong proficiency in the customer's workflow. The company has been involved in several ground-breaking works, including the establishment of a cloud-based collection and analysis tool that points out suspected human trafficking networks and individuals. They have successfully raised a high funding amount running into billions of dollars. Job Responsibilities:

  • Carefully articulate and prioritize customer-facing features and data that are visible on the products
  • Write code with React-Redux and help launch new app versions 
  • Perform code reviews and improve the code where needed
  • Work with customers to understand their requirements, pain points and enhance the platform to support their needs
  • Work with back-end engineers and help define APIs for responsive UIs
  • Be responsible for your code quality even while running in production

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience building highly performant software solutions 
  • Previous experience working with REST APIs/React and Redux 
  • Demonstrate ability in working closely with customers and developing models to get feedback from them
  • Track record working with a team of designers/engineers, equally participating in code/design reviews with a focus on quality and accountability for each other’s work 
  • Experience writing unit tests and testable code
  • Core competency in continuous integration and familiarity with build and release processes
  • Good understanding of hosted service providers like Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Platform, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, etc.
