Front-End React Developer

A rapidly growing advertising company that focuses its operations on changing how people work in Latin America is looking for a Front-End React Developer. The developer will work a solid expertise in React, collaborating in a fun, team-focused environment while demonstrating the strong ownership required to dig deep into the trenches of the codebase and work on modern systems that integrate into it. The company has established a recent valuation of over $70mn, along with the backing of Y-Combinator and leading VCs. Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with designers to assess the feasibility and cost of building new features and revamping existing ones
• Improve a legacy codebase to meet modern standards
• Obsess over solving business problems with technology
• Determine root causes for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
• Contribute to existing NodeJS back-end code
• Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling
• Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management to understand their most pressing and impactful needs
• Contribute to the development and addition of new types of leave requests to the events/requests system that manages time off
• Implement new features on the UIs
• Help improve the user experience with various new features

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience with React or front-end development
• Be an expert in Typescript, JavaScript, Redux, React, and their intricacies
• Proficiency with HTML and CSS
• Experience with Redux 
• Be conversant with complex business concepts and the technical debt of a fast-paced, growth-minded startup
• Ability to keep customers happy by consistently delivering fixes, improvements, and brand new features
• Familiarity with styled components
• Expertise in performing integrations with APIs that demonstrate REST best practices
• Ability to write tests before code
• Capacity to work in an established process with an agile approach and delivery
