Job description

A Silicon Valley-based company on a mission to develop a world-class application that provides users with real-time investment updates is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing maintainable, high-quality, responsive, robust, and well-documented stacks. The company is developing real-time crypto and stock market tracker from all global exchanges. The company has managed to secure more than $3.2 mn during their Series A round of funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deploy code to production with automation, code coverage, and monitoring 
  • Maintain high code quality by performing code reviews, unit, integration, and end-to-end tests in a dynamic environment
  • Troubleshoot and upgrade the application by taking a test-oriented approach
  • Own end-to-end tasks, including design, implementation, unit testing, deployment, etc.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and take ownership of technical projects and processes
  • Advocate for agile development processes (Scrum/ Kanban) and get the balance right with rapid iteration and well-tested code

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in React Native using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • In-depth knowledge of the React lifecycle, navigation stack, state & props, styled-components, etc.
  • Extensive experience in JavaScript and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
  • Strong knowledge of state management architecture using Redux and MobX
  • Prolific knowledge of object-oriented design concepts and design principles
  • Good knowledge of REST API/ GraphQL service
  • Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, and Android Studio
  • Familiarity with Node.js and cloud technologies
  • Proficient with version control and effective collaborative development workflows
  • Ability to quickly fix bugs and solve problems in large, complex applications
  • Experience in the FinTech industry is a plus
  • Excellent English communication and the ability to work as part of a team
