Job description

A rapidly-growing company that has managed to build a next-gen platform with a large global user base is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of keeping up with technological advancements and implementing new features. The U.S.-based company is enabling users to participate in and build lasting communities, never-ending conversations, and authentic human connections. During their Series F round, the company has managed to raise more than $1.2bn in funding so far. This position requires some overlap with the CET time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute product and business strategy 
  • Build scalable products and features for the company’s platform 
  • Play a critical role in the full development cycle including technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Conduct code review and design docs, giving feedback on product specs
  • Work in close collaboration with a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers
  • Contribute to standards that improve developer workflows and recommend best practices
  • Assist in mentoring junior engineers on the team to grow their technical expertise
  • Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Extensive experience with React.js and JavaScript
  • Nice to have experience in GraphQL 
  • Prior experience in web components and automated testing 
  • Experience with one or more front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular with experience working with CSS
  • Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs is a plus
  • Experience with distributed caching layers and distributed large-scale data storage systems
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver projects on schedule
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
