Job description

A US-based company developing a marketplace that connects businesses and suppliers to create virtual and tangible experiences is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code. The company is building an event planning platform, to execute fun, stress-free, and detailed events. The company has managed to raise $5mn+ during their Seed round. This position requires 3+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Thrive in an autonomous environment and take pride in the projects you deliver
  • Lead the front-end engineering team and assist and train team members
  • Automate tests using unit and integration testing 
  • Participate in daily virtual standups and brainstorming sessions 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Extensive experience in JavaScript and CSS
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience with a modern JavaScript framework, preferably Vue 3
  • Ability to transform Sketch designs into modular, accessible user interfaces
  • Demonstrable experience implementing modern frontend best practices and advising on new technology adoption
  • Nice to have experience with Docker and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
  • Solid understanding of Git, GitHub, and continuous integration and deployment
  • Prolific experience with Tailwind CSS, PHP, or Laravel is preferred 
  • Proficient in conversational and written English
