Job description

A US-based company that works with law enforcement firms to bring transparency and accountability to their off-duty plans, is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for taking on individual projects and seeing them through to finalization. The company streamlines all aspects of off-duty life, from scheduling to payments, so that agencies and officers can focus on other things like protecting and serving their communities. The company has managed to successfully raise $1.5 mn+ in funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and maintain software solutions to meet the needs of businesses and customers by leveraging industry-standard tools and management systems
  • Take part in the team code review process to ensure that the code adheres to internal best practices and coding standards
  • Convert initial UI/UX designs into functional prototypes that aid in the resolution of user issues
  • Accept responsibility for individual projects and see them through to completion
  • Assist in testing feature implementation to ensure that they meet initial requirements
  • Bring new features online while also continuing to improve and innovate in a dynamic environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 3+ years experience with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Knowledge of the existing front-end development standards, including Accessibility, Responsiveness, Performance, and UX
  • Understanding of core modern JavaScript and frameworks like React.js and Vue.js
  • Knowledge of modern E2E testing frameworks such as Cypress
  • Familiarity with common development tools such as Git for version control, Webpack, and Yarn/NPM
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing JIRA for task management
  • Willingness to jump in and actively contribute to the improvement of a developing product
  • Versatility to work both in teams and independently with little supervision
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
