Job description

A rapidly-growing company helping e-commerce businesses provide a simple consumer experience in terms of exchanges and refunds is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for developing front-end libraries and reusable components for later use. The US-based company is on a mission to help businesses improve the post-purchase experience. This is an excellent opportunity for developers to develop advanced solutions while tackling multifaceted problems. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain reusable, reliable, and efficient front-end code
  • Use React.js to develop new user-facing features 
  • Translate wireframes and designs into pixel perfect and high-quality code
  • Optimize components for peak performance across various web-capable browsers and devices
  • Actively participate in code and design reviews to create robust prototypes and applications 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • At least 2 years of React experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CS fundamentals
  • Proven track record of creating and deploying applications on the job or as side projects
  • Extensive HTML and CSS experience
  • Hands-on vanilla JavaScript experience, a firm understanding of frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, etc., and DOM
  • Prolific knowledge of how the web operates and the communication protocols it entails
  • Must stay up to date with the ever-changing specifications of modern-day front-end technologies (for example, Service Workers) 
  • Must possess demonstrated knowledge of enterprise architecture, software engineering principles, and design patterns
  • Must be skilled in testable component creation, front-end testing frameworks, and writing unit tests
  • A strong sense of UX, simplicity, and design, along with the ability to ensure the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs, is a bonus
  • Knowledge of how to align modularization with a domain (Domain Driven Design)
  • Must know about D3.js, derivatives, other JS visualization libraries, and agile practices such as stories, iteration, and Scrum 
  • Must be comfortable with operating in a fluid startup environment and assert ownership of the assigned responsibilities
  • Have a strong interest in comprehending the underlying aspects and the problems the company wants to solve through technology 
  • Being familiar with the server-less architecture and NodeJS is a plus
  • English fluency (written and spoken) is mandatory
