Job description

The engineer will be responsible for utilizing industry standards to endorse the software development model. Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the vision and lead an engineering team in the development and maintenance of digital products and solutions (DPS) across S&T's core priorities
  • Collaboration with UX, Product Management, IT, Data & Analytics, Emerging Technology, Innovation, and Process 
  • Create the teams that will be in charge of delivering the Digital Products portfolio
  • Use industry standards to support your software development strategy
  • Make a roadmap and plan its implementation based on business needs and strategy
  • Increase DPS capabilities by utilizing a customer-centric, service-driven digital solutions platform that uses data and AI to deliver automated and personalized experiences
  • Assist stakeholders in resolving engineering-related delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes
  • Communicate with key business partners to propose solutions that best meet the strategic needs of the company

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3-8+ years of relevant software development and engineering management experience in React
  • 3-8+ years of experience in architecting fault-tolerant, high scale distributed systems
  • Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
  • Experience with Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, and cloud-specific PaaS and/or SaaS solutions
  • Experience with cloud-native distributed systems
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Capability to work cross-functionally with product, service design, and operations teams throughout the organization
  • Passion for providing excellent engineering services, education, and support
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate a complex and layered internal environment
  • Capability to lead a large organization
  • Proficiency in English
