Job description

A fast-growing company on a mission to accelerate scientific workflows through their innovative platform by leveraging the power of technology is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of enhancing the customer experience by improving performance, scalability, and interactive front-end features. The US-based company's platform enables businesses to make better research and development decisions by integrating the resources and networks needed to progress scientific workflows. They have securely raised funding worth more than $14mn so far. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with a wide range of systems to provide end-to-end solutions
  • Actively incorporate new toolings and features on the platform 
  • Design and implement prototypes to enhance user experience
  • Contribute immensely to the product and regularly perform code reviews
  • Follow optimal design and coding standards

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience working as a front-end engineer
  • Flexibility to work across different development tools
  • Have an excellent approach to software development, including the design, development, testing, deployment and support
  • Sound communication skills (written and verbal), with good time management, flexibility, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong programming skills with React and JavaScript ES6
  • Prolific experience in HTML5, and CSS3 is mandatory
  • Profound expertise in CSS3, including experience with responsive frameworks like Reactstrap/Bootstrap 4 and modular SCSS
  • Proven track record of building mobile apps with iOS and Android is a plus
  • Nice to have a working knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, JavaScript Frameworks, Redux and Meteor.js
  • Familiarity with Angular and GraphQL is an added advantage
  • Core knowledge of unit test frameworks, task automation, and code modularization utilizing technologies like Jasmine, Webpack, and Grunt
  • Comfortable working individually and across different teams
