Job description

A fast-growing company that has developed a video indexing, tagging, and comprehension system using multimodal computer vision and machine learning technology is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be participating in building all aspects of the company’s solutions, focusing on the dashboard, platform, APIs, and a recently launched product. The online video searching platform is designed to provide hyper-specific metadata on videos. During its seed round, the company managed to secure funding worth more than $4 mn. This will be a long-term, full-time role that requires some overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with databases and write production-level front-end code
  • Manage and develop the platform on AWS and other cloud architectures
  • Utilize current front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, and other JavaScript frameworks to deliver production code for the front-end infrastructure
  • Understand and assist with the implementation of the front-end server architecture
  • Handle the networking and web application launch using HTML, CSS, and other web technologies
  • Launch and deploy front-end code using different tech stacks and deployment platform
  • Work with the designers and business executives to execute product features 
  • Participate in code reviews and take an active role in maintaining and improving the quality of production code and software infrastructure
  • Work closely with the product development and business development teams to ensure that the system's technical design and aspects fit the needs of the business and the product.
  • Proactively participate in a fast-paced development environment, communicate openly, and provide fresh approaches to unique challenges by launching and testing deployed code in a multi-cloud environment
  • Contribute actively to the project strategy and lead the technical development 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • 2+ years of experience writing production-level code solutions to meet stringent performance requirements
  • Demonstrable skills working with React, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, Socker, and Data Science
  • Prior experience with Python, AWS, and Terraform is desirable
  • Experience with unidirectional state management and excellent version control reflexes
  • Some experience with back-end languages is nice to have
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
