Front-End Engineer

The engineer will work on converting UI designs into responsive HTML layouts. Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and jQuery is required for this role. Job Responsibilities:

• Convert UI designs into responsive HTML layouts
• Play the key role in overlapping the two worlds of design and engineering
• Code CSS-based websites that are W3C compliant
• Perform effective self-testing and ensure the application meets all relevant standards
• Create animations in HTML5/CSS3 with JavaScript
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Implement complex jQuery functionalities
• Work on cross-browser compatibility for developed code
• Optimize the application/website for maximum speed, scalability, and SEO

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Must have extensive frontend/UX development experience
• Experience in Internet-facing web applications.
• Proficient working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Extensive experience in modern JavaScript such as ES6, Promises, Testing, Closures, etc
• Working knowledge of Chrome Dev Tools and related nuances of the timeline for perf monitoring
• Must have a deep knowledge of UI optimizations and performance
• Should have an understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, AA standard)
• Knowledge of network layer, HTTP, HTTPS, cookies, local storage
• Skilled at Jasmine / Karma unit test frameworks
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Nice to have some knowledge of .Net and cloud-based application
• Knowledge in frameworks such as React, AngularJS, etc, and a good understanding of the basics of these frameworks and their life cycles are nice to have
• Experience with runners/bundlers such as Gulp, Grunt, or Webpack
• Prior experience with browser testing and debugging is a must 
• Understanding of all major browsers and the special considerations required for their various quirks
• Must have a passion for user experience and user-centric development
• Must have in-depth knowledge of UX and layout design etc
• Must be a self-starter and passionate learner
• Excellent English communication skills
