Front-end Engineer

An early stage startup that is preparing to launch an innovative platform to help emergency service contractors through the power of technology, is looking to hire a Front-end Engineer to join their team. The selected candidate will collaborate with other stakeholders while helping scale the company’s MVP and develop its features. The U.S.-based company’s goal is to ease the lives of emergency service contractors, offering them the tools they need to keep track and perform critical operations, spending less time talking to insurance companies and more time helping their clients get back to their lives. This is a full-time position that requires a 4-hour overlap with the PST time zone, and is a perfect opportunity for software engineers who want to work in a young startup and help shape its future. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Help build and scale the company’s MVP and further develop its features
• Understand the company’s goals and translate them into a modern software product
• Coordinate with back-end developers to seamlessly integrate both server-side and client-side
• Connect the front-end with databases through APIs
• Help build libraries for future use through the use of modern frameworks

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Front-end Engineer
• A minimum of 4+ years of experience working with React and Next.js
• Profound knowledge about TypeScript, with at least 4 years of experience
• 4+ years of professional experience with GraphQL and databases
• Nice to have familiarity with Tailwind CSS and Apollo Client
• Deep understanding of modern engineering best practices
• Familiarity working in a startup environment will be a plus
• Great collaboration skills and a proactive approach
• Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal
