Job description

A U.S.-based company that is helping global partners across a variety of industries to build a more balanced, fair, and diverse economy through their innovative platform, is looking for a Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for developing cutting-edge software solutions while collaborating with a cross-functional team, including the business and product team members. The company is determined to create a more viable, enduring, and scrupulous economy by giving those involved in social engagement the knowledge, experiences, and connections they need to scale game-changing ideas. With their Seed round of fundraising, the company was able to raise $400K+. This will be a long-term, full-time position.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate quick front-end engineering task completion
  • Create web applications and use your knowledge to improve the development of the business and, ultimately, its impact
  • Assist the team with switching from Jade to React.js as the front-end framework
  • Cooperate directly with the engineering team to improve the platform

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
  • Working knowledge of React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Extensive familiarity with Redux, React Router, React Toolkit, and Storybook
  • In-depth knowledge of converting designs from Zeplin or Figma to code
  • Strong understanding of the principles and techniques of web development, including responsive design, cross-browser interoperability, and accessibility
  • Intimate knowledge of how RESTful APIs interact with web apps
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders and perform well in a team environment
  • Good analytical skills, an eye for detail, and meticulousness
  • Solid understanding of a variety of testing frameworks, such as Mocha, Jest, or Enzyme
  • Strong familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello
  • Experience with AWS is desirable
  • Excellent speaking and written communication skills in English
