Job description

A fast-paced company that serves as a nationwide online and mobile shipping marketplace to connect those who require local or international shipping is looking for a Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining how the software appears and performs in collaboration with the UI/UX designer while bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation. The company collaborates with businesses that want to expand their market reach and financial success. This position requires an overlap with the U.S. time zone. The company has managed to raise $1 mn in funding.

Job Responsibilities:

Create and maintain the front-end software
Sync the app with the back-end services' APIs while working with back-end developers
Develop the real code from the UI/UX design wireframes that will build the application's visual components
Make sure the layout and execution are mobile-friendly
Create fresh features aimed at users
Improve the apps' scalability and performance.
Daily correspondence with the rest of the development team
Work together with other relevant stakeholders

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of relevant experience building single-page applications with React
Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+)
Expertise in Typescript and a preference for static typing
Knowledge of testing frameworks and a strong desire to write tests
Experience with both REST as well as GraphQL APIs
Ability to bring up a new application from scratch to fulfill product requirements
Experience working remotely is nice to have
Knowledge of Node.js or other back-end development is a plus
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Gitlab CI is nice to have
Passionate about functional programming
Proven experience developing and building applications (GitHub link on repo) is a plus
Strong English communication abilities
The capacity to guide less experienced team members
Proactive and self-driven
