Job description

A US-based online learning platform that is on a mission to revolutionize the EdTech industry with their next-gen solutions is looking for a Front-End React/Next.js Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for testing software development methodologies in an agile environment. The company is providing an on-demand live learning platform that connects students and professionals with personalized instruction for any subject. They have managed to successfully secure $100mn+ during their Series C round of funding. This position requires 6+ hours of overlap with the PST/EST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Write maintainable, performant code that is easy to read and well-documented
  • Create automated tests to thoroughly validate your code's correctness
  • Deploy and support large-scale web applications
  • Maintain a focus on quality and work iteratively to progress from good to better
  • Participate in your team's on-call rotation and own the code from development to deployment and operations
  • Learn from some of the industry's best and brightest
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced team
  • Collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product management, and design team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Must have experience with React and Next.js
  • Nice to have Ruby on Rails and PHP experience
  • Experience with implementing e-commerce solutions is advantageous
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly as needed
