Job description

A rapidly-growing company offering users the simplest way to build their own design systems is looking for a Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will be supporting the existing team to build new features, fix bugs and bring new tools and ideas to the table. The company's product enables users to move forward with a front-end platform that scales with them, their product, and users. Job Responsibilities:

  • Take complex interactions patterns and break them down into individual composable components to be developed
  • Help build the components in the design system as well as the customization experience around them
  • Write tests to ensure the high-quality standards are enforced
  • Contribute to the development of the development patterns and APIs
  • Perform code reviews
  • Write technical documentation on the implementation and usage

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
  • 5+ years of experience building client-facing web applications
  • Must have experience with Typescript and React
  • Must be experienced with modern web technologies like HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Webpack, Node, and NPM
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks like Jest
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices in component development
  • Core competency in product and design with expertise in pixel perfect implementation 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, explaining technical concepts to peers
  • Experience standardizing repeatable blocks of work
  • CI/CD systems experience is nice to have
  • Experience building a large-scale design system is desirable
  • Experience building open source projects will be appreciated
  • Experience implementing a11y standards on the web and product design
