Job description

A rapidly-growing company that builds robust, scalable analytics platforms for oil and gas mineral owners, is looking for a Front-End Developer. The developer will be expected to have some hands-on experience using current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance optimization, accessibility, and usability. The company strives to make the identification of possible portfolio concerns easier and faster and provides workflows to help with the resolution process. During their Series A round, the company raised over $3 mn in funding. Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage in regular feedback sessions from users, customers, and colleagues
  • Monitor the app performance, track traffic drops related to site usability problems, and handle issues that may arise
  • Write functional requirement documents and guides
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes, ensuring high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Turn UI/UX designs into prototypes, creating excellent interactions from designs
  • Write reusable code and libraries (with matching documentation), maintaining quality standards for effective future implementations 
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Aid with the design of new features or maintenance of old ones
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and product team to improve usability and perform troubleshooting tasks
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a web developer
  • Prolific experience working with JavaScript and Typescript
  • Profound knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks, specifically Angular 2+
  • Solid experience in using a complex REST API from the client-side
  • Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Good knowledge and practical experience of client-side build and configuration management
  • Strong understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN
