Job description

A US-based all-inclusive note-taking tool designed to organize notes in a simple way is looking for a Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will work in a team composed of productive individuals with a fast but sophisticated development cycle/process. Job Responsibilities:

  • Build features that enhance and fine-tune the platform's core experience
  • Deliver technical decisions and trade-offs through writing or real-time brainstorming 
  • Lead engineering projects for significant new initiatives or innovative features
  • Think about a user’s goals, translate this into workflow specs, and further into code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, product, and advocacy
  • Be responsible for significant parts of the codebase, and make careful architectural decisions
  • Implement robust, clean code that is scalable and efficient

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
  • Prolific experience working with Typescript, React, and CSS
  • Experience architecting code in a clean, extensible way
  • Experience and knowledge of how to avoid common pitfalls with web technologies
  • Prior experience with writing reliable, carefully-tested code
  • Comfortable with basic CS principles and especially thinking about graphs
  • Ability to decompose tricky problems and work intentionally towards a clean solution, independently or as a team
  • Nice to have some experience working with cross-platform applications
  • Familiarity with Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, React Native, and Expo is desirable
  • Ability to implement and deliver without a lot of guidance
