Job description

A fast-growing early-stage Fintech startup focusing on stock market tools and games is looking for a Front-end Developer. The developer will be responsible for the development of functional and appealing web and mobile-based applications, creating quality mockups & prototypes and more. The US-based company delivers affordable stock market tools that empower investors and traders to make better, more informed investment decisions. It has raised a total of $2M in funding so far. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to contribute to building solutions that increase work efficiency.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of functional and appealing web and mobile-based applications for iOS and Android platforms
  • Provide website maintenance and enhancements
  • Write web pages using a combination of markup languages
  • Write functional requirement documents and specifications
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes while meeting the deadlines
  • Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Create CSS codes that are consistent across all browsers and platforms
  • Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and promote usability best practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant front-end development experience 
  • Proficiency in website programming languages such as HTML, C#, CSS, Python, Angular, C++ and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of key website design principles and SEO optimization
  • Create functional, creative and user-friendly web pages meeting the client’s requirements
  • Ability to test and debug websites
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems
  • Experience with software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, XD, Moqups, etc. 
  • Experience with cross-platform web design would be a plus
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design would be an advantage
  • Some experience with graphic designing would be a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain focused on tasks for long periods of time
