Job description

A fast-growing furniture brand aimed at transforming urban living is looking for a Front-end Developer. The developer will be responsible for building a platform for renting and buying furniture in an environment where people’s needs, tastes, and locations are constantly changing. The company is focused on providing the end-to-end needs of customers by sourcing furniture from factories all around the world to build helpful home design tools and create a seamless online shopping experience. They have closed over $9 mn in seed funding from top investors. The candidate will work in a small team from Uber, Google, Rent-the-Runway, private equity, and other startup veterans to develop simple, engineering-driven solutions.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a platform from scratch and assist the small team to focus on our user-facing web app and internal tooling for the operations team
  • Work on our core web app along with the internal web app 
  • Using third-party integrations for internal tooling, payments, order last-mile efforts, and data collection
  • Use Retool to make sophisticated internal tools for order & inventory management
  • Connect with Stripe, Onfleet, and various analytics tools to make informed decisions
  • Engage with everyone in the company on brainstorming, prioritizing, and developing a strategy around marketing, operations, support, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of front-end-specific or full-stack experience
  • Skilled at Vue.js, React, or Angular and related frameworks
  • Must be a team player but can also function independently without supervision or micro-management
  • Prior experience in Ruby, Node.js, or Python is nice to have
  • Domain experience in e-commerce, modular apps (like CMS, CRM, etc), or 3D are all nice-to-have, but not required
  • Must be fluent in verbal and written communication
