Job description

Job Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and contribute to public GitHub repositories requiring enhancements, including new feature development and code refactoring, ensuring a significant impact on projects with substantial codebases (50K+ lines of code)
Utilize the latest coding best practices to develop high-quality, maintainable, and scalable front-end components across various languages and frameworks, including TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, React, iOS, and Node.js
Engage with the issues tab on GitHub repositories to prioritize and select work that aligns with project goals and personal expertise
Skillfully leverage a client extension to invoke various types of prompts, enhancing the development process through the intelligent use of LLM for code generation
Review, critique, and improve LLM-generated code, employing problem-solving skills to refine prompts or annotate inaccuracies, ensuring the highest standards of code quality and functionality
Meticulously document all contributions, changes, and reviews to foster a culture of transparency and knowledge sharing within the development community

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
3+ years of experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript
Demonstrable involvement in contributing to large GitHub repositories (50K+ lines of code), showcasing significant contributions and collaboration within the open-source community
Exceptional programming skills and in-depth technical knowledge across a broad spectrum of languages and frameworks, including but not limited to JavaScript, Java, React, iOS, C++, and Node.js
Strong understanding of front-end system architectures, with the ability to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance user experiences
Proven ability to adopt coding best practices, with a keen eye for code quality, maintainability, and scalability
Excellent documentation skills, with a commitment to maintaining detailed records of all development activities and contributions
Strong communication skills, with the capability to articulate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with a global team of developers and engineers.
Fluent in spoken and written English
