Job description

A rapidly-growing telecommunications and mass media company is looking for a Front-end Engineer. The engineer will be a core contributor in building and testing major features on several web applications to enhance the experience for the internal and external customers. The company continues to create content, apps and technology to connect people to entertainment and has raised a total of $6.5B in funding so far. Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and test major features on several web applications
  • Help in enhancing the experience the internal and external customers
  • Build scalable, responsive, and well-documented stacks
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Collaborate with other engineers to create innovative solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of professional experience with JavaScript and React.js development, consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • 1+ year(s) of professional experience with back-end development (Python, Node.js, Java, or Golang), and SQL/NoSQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), and AWS
  • Proficiency in Vanilla, JavaScript and React.js
  • Experience in Semantic HTML, CSS, SCSS styling and Typescript
  • Experience with React unit testing using Jest or React testing library and React state management libraries (Redux, Apollo)
  • Firm grasp over web development best practices (performance, security, browser APIs)
  • Working knowledge of automation testing (Cypress, Selenium)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, ownership, and ability to execute through to completion
  • Solid understanding of agile development life cycle
