Job description

A fast-evolving company developing electric vehicles (EVs) & reinventing the automotive landscape is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer. As a core member of the team, the engineer will be responsible for supporting the development of an over the air (OTA) platform, developing software for embedded devices, among others. The company has been featured in Bloomberg, CNN, TechCrunch, etc. and has raised $300 mn in funding so far. Candidates who would like to join a fast-scaling team to make an impact within the EV space are well suited for this role. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop software for embedded devices
  • Develop documentation and test plans for software
  • Support the development of over the air (OTA) platform including but not limited to bootloader development, and update distribution system
  • Investigate, debug and modify existing code
  • Work with HW engineers to test, debug and validate FW on bench
  • Develop standard and custom communication protocols for new systems

Job Requirements:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of embedded programming experience
  • Proficiency in C and C++
  • Proficient with microcontroller IDE design/development tools
  • Strong understanding of software development practices
  • Experience in real-time operating systems
  • Experience with embedded Linux
  • Ability to follow circuit schematics and PCB layout drawings
  • Experience in standard lab equipment such as power analyzer, oscilloscopes, frequency response analyzer to use for validating and debugging FW
  • Experience with ST microcontroller platforms
  • Experience developing device drivers, control systems, and communications protocols
  • Experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, RS-232, 802.11x, and TCP/IP protocols
  • Experience with automotive grade Linux (AGL)
  • Experience with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), ISO-14229, and ISO-13400
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
