Job description

An established Fintech company that has developed a unique blockchain-based payment solution is looking for a Blockchain Engineer. As an engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side applications that hold the business logic and integrate with external systems. The company has developed scalable solutions that focus on enhanced customer privacy protection and eliminates the risk of a data breach, thus enhancing speed, security, and ease of use. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity requiring an overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Search, design, develop, and test blockchain technologies
  • Develop a cryptocurrency, smart contract, and back-end pertaining to the blockchain
  • Be active in the research, design, development, and testing of blockchain technologies
  • Work as a strong independent worker and team contributor
  • Take ownership of the integration wallets, smart contracts, and decentralized application
  • Help define standards to be maintained by the entire development team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of a strong background in software development
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a blockchain developer 
  • Experience working with open-source projects
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms 
  • Hands-on experience in programming with Node.js programming
  • Solid development experience in SQL over PostgreSQL database with Sequelize ORM
  • Well-versed in cryptography, blockchain protocols, and application security
  • Experience in writing smart contracts
  • Good understanding of NFTs and tokens
  • Experience in wallet integration like Coinbase, OKcoin, Kraken, Binance, and Gemini Wallet
  • Understanding decentralized application protocols like DeFi
  • Excellent English communication skills and collaboration abilities
  • Conversant with at least one of the Blockchain frameworks such as Hyperledger Fabric, R3 Corda, Ethereum (Solidity)
  • Experience in using cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Prolific skills in containerization and orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes
  • Hands-on expertise in version control systems like GitHub and BitBucket
