Backend Tech Lead

A fast-growing fintech neo banking start-up that offers financial products and services, is looking for a Backend Tech Lead. The selected candidate will be working alongside the founder to build the engineering team. As a tech lead, you’ll be responsible for building the company’s neo banking app. Strong knowledge of Node.js or Python is required for this position. Candidates who can drive and lead a team of engineers are well-suited for this role. This is a full-time and long-term position that requires at least 10 hours of time overlap with PST.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and build efficient intuitive back-end applications 
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and software engineers to deliver high-quality user-facing products
• Work with a wide range of systems and technologies and solve problems from end-to-end
• Communicate efficiently with the team members and take ownership of your tasks 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Must have prolific experience in Node.js or Python
• Prior working experience in fintech is a must
• Nice to have some experience in building a neo banking app
• Excellent communication and English skills
• Can function effectively without too much hand-holding and micromanagement
