Job description

A fast-growing company that assists businesses in developing their own screening and verification packages to filter candidates and authenticate credentials vital to their industry is looking for a Web Front-End Developer. The selected candidate will be tasked with transforming existing products and applications. The software company is developing a screening and certification management system for businesses. During their Series A round, the company raised more than $10mn in funding. This will be a full-time, long-term position requiring some overlap with the CST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • ​​Handle and supervise the creation and integration of User Interface components for all company applications
  • Ensure that the design's consistency and quality are not jeopardized
  • Make well-informed decisions about client-side and server-side architecture, as well as framework/library usage
  • Drive the creation, tasking, and estimation of engineering User Stories
  • Help drive the product road mapping and technical solutions 
  • Foster a good testing culture to ensure that appropriate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests are in place
  • Install the necessary tools to aid in the improvement of test quality and coverage
  • Mentor other developers through pair programming and regular code reviews

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end developer
  • Must have experience with React, Vue, Angular, Babel, Webpack, and Typescript
  • Expertise with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6) is required
  • Must have expertise with client-side build processes and security like authentication, authorization, and encryption
  • Strong technical documentation skills and testing skills
  • Experience with Rest APIs is required
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and Cloud-Native Hosting is required
  • Familiarity with React, Material Design, JavaScript, Storybook, Figma, Responsive Design, and SPAs is nice to have
  • Must be collaborative and work in a remote environment
  • Passionate about working in a fast-paced and rewarding startup environment
