Job description

A US-based company offering one of the first centralized metrics stores that enable data analysts to deliver accurate, timely, and rapid insights is looking for a Web Front-End Engineer. The engineer will play a critical role in shaping the user-facing features that enable the core product. The company has gathered years of experience working on data at industry-leading companies with a solid dedication to improving data infrastructure, from warehouses to machine learning platforms. This will be a great opportunity and a full-time role to work for a growing company. This position requires a time overlap with PST.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create new features, improve the app's code, and keep it up to date
  • Enhance the architecture and provide tools to support it
  • Feature such as intelligent content feeds and user profiles should be developed and supported
  • Deliver high-performance visual-media-focused solutions
  • Develop and ship user-facing features to the web application
  • Work with customers to identify product gaps, and implement novel solutions to difficult problems
  • Leverage on the wealth of expertise from industry leaders to build a world-class team and mentor new engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end web developer
  • Knowledge of Typescript, React, HTML, and CSS, or other related technologies
  • Front-end architecture design, implementation, and maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of responsive web design and contemporary browser technology
  • Ability to create long-lasting software with minimal operating overhead
  • Capacity to work independently in a software engineering function is a plus
  • Experience in technical leadership and/or people management
  • Experience soliciting feedback and collaborating with customers of data or tools is a plus
  • Knowledge with or experience with the following software/tools: Authentication Services: OneLogin, Auth0, and Okta
  • Knowledge of UI Component libraries: Material UI is nice to have
  • Familiarity with Analytics tools: Segment, Google Analytics, Tag Manager is a plus
  • Knowledge of CSS-in-JS patterns: JSS, CSS modules is an added advantage
