Job description

A UK-based company that provides an AI-driven platform for data aggregating and analysis is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting any core functionality performance or reliability concerns. The organization delivers a set of security tools that help compliance, HR, and security teams defend their organizations and employees from unscrupulous actors. The company has managed to successfully raise more than $100 mn in funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create scalable and reliable Java-based server-side applications
  • Help scale the platform components and facilitate building new products on top of them
  • In high-load complicated systems, design and optimize solutions based on NoSQL technologies
  • Create benchmarks and automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) for key features
  • Troubleshoot any core functionality performance or reliability issues
  • Take charge of the intricate components and features you've been given
  • Demonstrate your capacity to study quickly and independently

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of experience building scalable and reliable back-end applications
  • Knowledge of core Java, experience with any other JVM-based language like Groovy, Kotlin, and Scala
  • Hands-on experience with big-data technologies like NoSQL databases - Hbase, Cassandra, MongoDB, and full-text search solutions - Elasticsearch, Solr
  • Experience with Spark and Flink
  • Deep understanding of the JVM functioning, ability to troubleshoot performance problems
  • Experience with microservice technologies like Kubernetes, Nomad, Docker, Istio, and Envoy
  • Proficiency in English
