Senior Software Engineer

A U.S.-based company offering an information system that may be used to help e-commerce businesses increase their profitable sales is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of controlling the data exchange between the server and the users. The company combines machine learning (ML)-driven decision intelligence with sophisticated forecasting and optimization to help monitor, diagnose, forecast, and recommend crucial actions to boost profit. During their Series B round, the company managed to successfully secure more than $48 mn in funding. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Implement security and data protection
• Integrate data storage solutions in the company’s application 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
• A minimum of 5 to 7+ years of experience in Java, Python Flask, and web services
• Experience with code deployment, code commit, Jenkins, and Git
• Solid understanding of various components of web services
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Workable knowledge of accessibility and security compliance
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
• Fluent in verbal and written English
