Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company constructing a world-class e-commerce marketplace that serves customers worldwide is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing complex software systems that connect with a wide range of external systems. The company provides a shopping experience centered on discovery, similar to how customers have traditionally made purchases in physical stores. The company has managed to successfully raise more than $1.5 bn in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project's needs through the V1 launch and V2 iterations
  • Create complicated software systems that integrate with a variety of external systems
  • Optimize for immediate execution while planning for long-term technological capability
  • Integrate and maintain APIs with a variety of external services
  • Construct highly available distributed systems
  • Junior software engineers should be mentored/guided

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Knowledge of Python and Go
  • Familiarity with React, Typescript, and GraphQL
  • Experience in MongoDB
  • Knowledge of Hadoop and Hive
  • Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Self-motivated, persistently focused on effect, and capable of operating with a high degree of independence
  • Ability to self-drive and explain requirements and scope, as well as ownership of the end-to-end delivery process
  • You enjoy rapidly developing features and iterating in a data-driven manner
  • Proficiency in English
