Job description

A U.S-based fintech company devoted to assisting people in making better financial decisions is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for taking on lead initiatives that will positively impact the business or internal procedures. The company is developing the best content solutions in the personal finance industry, including user-focused decision tools to assist people in taking action on difficult financial matters in their life. The company has managed to raise more than $2 mn in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with cutting-edge technology to create a versatile hosting and development platform
  • Help manage and scale the infrastructure as well as build, release, and production systems
  • Teach product developers the best coding practices for platform stability, scalability, dependability, and security
  • Lead initiatives that have a direct positive influence on the business or internal procedures
  • Develop and maintain automated tools to enhance the developer experience
  • Collaborate with the technical team to maintain and enhance metrics, as well as to promptly diagnose and resolve production issues
  • Work with current web technologies such as React, Node.js, Docker, AWS, Strapi, and Gatsby in an agile setting

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5 + years of experience in technical architecture, application development, and/or operations
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and S3, EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, IAM, CLI, etc
  • Familiarity with NodeJS and React
  • Experience working with REST and/or GraphQL APIs
  • Experience with Headless CMS implementation and GatsbyJS is a plus
  • Create and support online infrastructure, as well as understand how to keep it working, safe, and up to date
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities in the application, database, and cloud infrastructure environments
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
  • Strong English communication skills
